Christmas cookies

So we've been bad bloggers of late. Formerly weekly, now weakly.... well, there's just too much in the way of holiday prep, and commitment avoidance filling up our days. I"m sure you know the feeling.

I've also spend a great deal of time bouncing between the workshop and the kitchen.

and based on the following recipe my grandfather passed along (he thinks this would pair well with my Christmas Punch recipe), you can see I'm probably spending a little too much time in the kitchen!

Christmas Cookie Recipe

1 cup of water
1 tsp baking soda
1 cup of sugar
1 tsp salt
1 cup of brown sugar
3 tblsp lemon juice
4 large eggs

- Sample the Crown Royal to check quality.
- Take a large bowl, check the Crown Royal again, to be sure it is of the highest quality, pour one level cup and drink.
- Turn on the electric mixer...Beat one cup of butter in a large fluffy bowl.
- Add one teaspoon of sugar...Beat again.
- At this point it's best to make sure the Crown Royal is still OK, try another cup.. just in case.
